This recipe is inspired by the famous street food – Aloo Toast. My introduction to aloo toast , happened on the streets of Hyderabad. And there was absolutely nothing in it , that you wouldn’t love.
I always remember to switch off my Calorie counter App, while enjoying the street food . I guess once in a while , its OK to just shut your eyes and gobble up these treats. But we don’t crave for these foods once in a while , do we? Specially with this monsoon season …. Cravings are on an all-time-high !
So I decided to give the street side aloo toast , a makeover , and went experimenting in my kitchen. Wanted to make it without deep frying . The result was these beautiful , crispy and chatpata – aloo toast starters !
Team it up with a hot cup of ginger tea , and you are all set for a great evening! You can always experiment with the toppings and chutneys , and personalize it for everyone in the family.
