Bhel Puri Recipe

I am blessed with two wonderful kids. My daughter is a complete foodie. And thank god for that. Now I have 2 guinea pigs at home ( first one being my hubby , of course).

There’s one basic question that keeps coming up every now and then  in my house…….” Mom , I am hungry, is there anything to eat???”

“ Sure Dear, what will you have?”

“Ummm…..Something Nice”

And then follows an endless discussion about what all can be prepared….. and her wanting something NICER. If it is evening snack time……. BHEL PURI always comes to my rescue.

Bhel puri is a popular street food across India. It is an equally easy to make snack at home too. It is light and healthy, compared to other street food, as there is minimal or no oil involved in its preparation. It is a snack loved by all age groups.

There are two types of bhel puri recipes – wet and dry. Both the types have the same ingredients ,  the difference being the tamarind chutney that you add in the wet BHEL. The chutney adds that zing to it…. You can add or delete any number of ingredients as per  your taste and availability, And still make a delicious , spicy ,tangy Bhel puri  every time!
