We have a small farm in the outskirts of the city . We’ve just started developing it. Presently we are soil testing ( that’s what I call it…. Sounds professional , right?) , which is to say , we are planting various fruits and vegetables to see what quality and quantity we can get.
I had no idea , one plant could give so much of the fruit! I can now write an entire blog post on ways of cooking bottle gourd….!
Last week we got a few bottle guards home, and my MIL told me about a traditional recipe called “CHOVADE” aka bottle gourd fritters !
With the rains pouring in…. fritters have become a favourite. But these fritters were awesome……. Spicy , crispy and super hot ( straight from the fryer!)
And the trick I used with the kids…. Asked them to guess what were the fritters made of!……They had already had a handful of them before getting the answer!
