The kitchen’s closed – its SUNDAY!

It all starts from Friday , or should I say, Monday itself. The wait for the glorious weekends. And “Sunday” is the King of all days. The one day we can actually enjoy – sleep as much as we  like, have a late breakfast, or make it a two-in-one brunch,  take naps in the afternoon , and then go out for dinner! Sounds perfect right?

But with a house to clean , maids to manage , entire weeks tasks scheduled for Sunday , 2 kids (at home) trying to eat each other up……..it sounds like a distant dream. I, and I am sure a lot of you would agree with me on this,  would love to have a day when the kitchen is closed .  May be  my hubby cooks , or we order food or go out ……..it doesn’t matter, the kitchen’s closed.

I would love to have that picture perfect weekend ! But you know what really makes my Sundays special?

Keeping my kitchen up and running!  Yes you read it right!  I love to try out something different on Sundays. New recipes, different cuisines., ….  And my kids love to help me out too ( as their requests are being taken)! The first on their list is Baking a Cake…. a Chocolate Cake! They just enjoy every bit of it !

I never used to bake earlier. I used to think its a specialized field , and only a select few could get it right. But with kids around, I started my experiments with baking. Over the period I discovered, baking is FUN! The best part being – the SMILE it brings on the kids faces – priceless!!

So sharing with you today , the recipe of a fun-filled Sunday……!!…
