Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Whenever I happen to pass by a bakery, the aromas of all the baked goodies , and the display are so tempting . I always end up buying at least a fresh loaf of bread and buns!

After having mastered the art of baking cakes ( Awarding the master’s degree myself) , I decided to try my hand at breads! I thought how hard could it be?

But let me tell you “cakes” are really a piece of cake , as compared to breads. Mostly because you need a lot of patience and time with breads.

I have to admit this , if you are a beginner , using yeast can end up being a biiiiiiig challenge.  I’ve done all the mistakes that you can think of( really silly ones too). I’ve even added Active dry yeast directly to the flour without activating it ( without reading the pack instructions , of course) !

I’ve gone through my share of disasters , before coming to terms with using yeast. But keep practicing till you get the hang of it. You’ll just love it after that……. The fragrance of fresh home-made bread really is awesome!

I’ve recently tried my hand on Cinnamon Rolls / cinnabuns! They are easy to make , and the aroma of cinnamon makes you fall in love with them! They are also a big hit with the kids!

Recipe Notes

TIPS

  • Do not use the yeast mixture in the preparation , if after 10 mins the yeast mixture isn’t frothy.
  • If you are in a cold climate region, heat the oven to 90 C, switch it off and keep the baking tin inside it for 60 mins. The dough will rise better.
