Dosa Wraps Recipe

Has anyone of you noticed this , or is it just me ? I just have to give a dish a different name and a different presentation, and the kids just love to have it !

Plain Dosa with ghee and sugar was one of the favorite food for my toddlers .The plain old dosa’s have become a little boring , after they have been weaned from baby foods or non-spicy foods. They want something tasty and fun all the time .

Not to mention the amount of chutney or curry that they have along with the dosa , it’s just close to nothing. My younger one almost always wants ketchup with it, given a choice.

But dosa’s are a great healthy option for breakfast or snacks , as you can prepare the batter in advance , and use it as and when needed, to make a filling snack in less than 10 mins.

And so evolved the idea of DOSA WRAPS!

The kids instantly took to it , as these are bite-sized pieces, that are easy to handle , and go well  with any dip , chutney or ketchup .

So Here’s the recipe ! Enjoy !

For the wraps :
  1. Heat a non-stick tawa. Take a ladle full of dosa batter and spread it in circular motion to make a dosa.
  2. Sprinkle on it a few drops of ghee / clarified butter. After the dosa becomes bubbly ( i.e its cooked from one side) place a gracious amount of the veggie filling on it and spread it on the dosa. Donu2019t be shy about the filling , put as much as you want.
