Kadhi Marathi Style

A lot of time I end up with sour curd at home …..mostly because I forget to put it in the fridge when its done . If the curd is sweet , we have a lot of takers for it at home but no one wants to have sour curd. So what to do with it?  Sour curd makes one of the best authentic Maharashtrian Kadhi!

So whenever I  have Kadhi on the menu , everyone kind of knows how it got there.

Kadhi is  quintessential to the Maharashtrian Cuisine . For all the festivities , puja or any celebration , the food must include Kadhi. Sipping on hot kadhi , while having food , is just an experience in itself.

A simple and easy curd stew, that’s just so soothing and comforting .The preparation includes very few, basic ingredients . It has a distinct, bold flavour of ginger , which adds that extra punch to it.

The kadhi goes great with rice or as a side to any maharashtrian meal. It is a great side for Puran Poli as well !The best part , its ready in minutes!

Here’s the recipe ! Enjoy !
