Mango Panha Recipe

Summer. It doesn’t seem to be ending soon, does it. As the temperatures soar high , my brain radar constantly searches for  something chilled to drink. I avoid any aerated drinks or packaged fruit juices (as much as possible) in my house. So it’s an even bigger task to make mocktails or fruit punches that’ll interest my kids.

I am constantly experimenting with fruits and flavours. I Also tried some mocktails for birthday parties and other get-together, and everybody loved them! And You know what? Peer pressure always works! When your kids friends say , that they loved the fruit punch, you can hear your kids boasting about your cooking skills!

The most common drink that you’ll find in any Maharashtrian household , is Mango Panha. Made with raw mangoes. It’s instantly refreshing and is easy to prepare. I’ll be sharing with you, the recipe today.

The recipe is a very basic version , and brings out the original raw mango flavor.

If you like you can give it a twist by adding a little rock salt or kala namak instead of plain salt. Or add a little jal jeera powder, or add little mint leaves to the mixture, or add green cardamom powder. You can experiment with this recipe according to your taste !
