Mango Soft Serve

My family ( hubby’s side) is one of the biggest mango lovers I’ve ever known. They enjoy , every mango out there, be it any type, to the same extent. AAMRAS is a permanent accompaniment with every meal that we have throughout the mango season.

Even people visiting us during summer vacations, go through all the trouble to get Mango Petis( Wooden boxes having anywhere around 4 to 6 dozen mangoes) for us. And we do the same , ofcourse if we visit them!

So every year we get to taste the finest mangoes of almost every variety . From Alphonso to Rasaal to Baiganpalli.

And yes, We do gain a few pounds during this season. But why to worry ? We have the rest of the year to burn it , right?

Right now, the Mango season is in full swing. And let me tell you , we are eating mangoes in every form and in every recipe possible!

But nothing can beat the plain mango shakes in this hot summer. And not to mention , kids just love it. Today I gave a slight twist to this simple shake , which lead to this awesome Mango Soft Serve!

Simply follow the recipe . Trust me , its going to be one of the best things you’ll have this mango season!

Ingredients
  • 3 mangoes , medium sized
  • 1 litre cream milk full ( freeze the packet overnight)
  • 6 tbsps sugar
  • few mango pieces for garnishing x01

Instructions
  1. Remove the frozen milk from the packet and break it into chunks with the help of a pestle or knife
  2. Remove mango pulp into a mixer .
  3. Add sugar to the mango pulp and blend it together..
  4. Add the frozen milk chunks to the mixer , and give it a whirl , till you get a thick swirl .
  5. Remove immediately in cups , garnish with mango chunk and serve.
Recipe Notes

Tips

  • The milk should be full cream, and frozen solid.
  • Depending upon the sweetness of the mangoes you use , adjust the quantity of sugar to be added.
