Mix Veg Sandwich !

If you have kids in the house, you must have experienced the state of “constant hunger “,they are in . More than the full meals , they are interested in small snacks every now and then.

And so I saw the saying , “ Necessity is the mother of all Inventions” , beginning to come true in my kitchen .

sandwiches are the easiest snack to get together fast. And its one of those  thing that  gives u a free hand at experimenting. Depending on the preferences of your kids , you can make a different sandwich everyday!

Here is a recipe , which I just happened to discover the other day. It just so happens sometimes that you get into the kitchen to make something regular , and it turns out to be awesome dish! this was one of those days.

With all the veggies that I had handy that day , this sandwich turned out to be simply amazing! And again another way of getting veggies into the kids stomach.

Instructions
  1. Peel boiled potatoes and mash them in a mixing bowl. Add all the other veggies and mix.
  2. Add the spices and salt (adjust to taste) and mix properly.
  3. Make small round patties or tikkiu2019s out of the mixture. Keep aside.
  4. Take a fresh bread loaf. Take 2 bread slices and cut 2 round with the help of a sharp rimmed bowl.
  5. Place the veg-pattie between the two bread rounds and press lightly to seal the edges.
  6. Heat a non-stick tawa, apply a little butter on the bread sandwich and roast it on the tawa , till golden brown from both the sides
  7. Serve hot with ketchup and green mint chutney !

TIPS

  • You can boil the potatoes in advance , to get the Sandwich ready in 10 mins
