Roasted Peanut Laddo
A 2-ingredient , 2-step recipe for an awesome sweet snack. We are already in the third week of the month of Shravan . The auspicious month where everyone seems to be busy fasting.
Heat a kadhai and dry roast the peanuts till they become fragrant or the color of the brown covering becomes a little dark.Remove in a plate and let it cool a little.
Put the peanuts into the jar of a mixer grinder. Add grated jaggery and grind into a coarse mixture. Now divide the mixture into eight portions and shape them into small balls.
Store these laddos in a airtight container at room temperature.
Taste test the mixture of jaggery and peanut before making round laddo. Add more jaggery if you want.
You can also add dry fruits of your choice to the mixture and then shape the mixture into laddo.
Just pulse the mixture of peanuts and jaggery in the mixer grinder to get a coarse paste.
If you want the laddo to be light in color , you can remove the covering of peanuts, after roasting. Just rub them between your palms and it will be done.
