Spicy Mint Chutney

Oh what would we do without our Chutneys !

Chutneys are an essential condiment for any Indian meal for me .  It’s even a must have with not-so-Indian preparations . I like to have it with sandwiches , rolls , kababs , chips….. and yes pretty much everything.

The green spicy mint chutney is one of my all-time-favorite! It can add a spicy punch to even the most boring meals . I always make plenty of it in advance , as it goes for a couple of days if refrigerated.

Today I am sharing with you the recipe for  Mint chutney – You can make it in minutes! Its been in my family since ages , and I love the simplicity of the flavors involved . The spot on combination of tangy , minty, spicy flavors , makes it irresistible!

Instructions
  1. Thoroughly wash mint and coriander leaves . put them in a blender / mixer. Add green chillies, garlic, jeera , salt and sugar .
  2. Sprinkle lemon juice .
  3. Close the lid and blend well to get a smooth paste.
  4. Store in an air-tight container and refrigerate. Use whenever required !

TIPS

To make a smooth paste , you can add a little water if required.
